Atlast a way to change the BSNL broadband user password

Dear All,

After endless pursuit on the subject and lots of googling, i landed up at the spot where you can actually change your used id and password for your bsnl broadband. The stupid linesman who turns up to give you the connection has put in Password as " password" for you and you feel more stupid using the same everyday wondering if that could be hacked . So now pull up your sleeves , first thing is to go to bsnl self care site at http://selfcare.sdc.bsnl.co.in/selfcare/, it will ask you for a used id and password and its NOT your regular bband password or id , look below and create one for loggin in as a new user . YOur customer id etc details which are mandatory for creating the id are on your bill which you get every month .
Congrats you are one step up now after creating an user id , keep those details written up in your diary for future use ( you never know when)
Now after you get the id , login into the selfcare portal and on the left hand side you will see HOME ( & ) SERVICE , the tricky part is that the service button looks blue meaning you are already viewing the details on that page but it is NOt, go ahead and click it , it will throw up a list of services , and the tenth (10th) icon is your broadband password change link which will throw up a simple page which is easy to fill and once that is done your broadband password (min 8 characters) is all yours .
Friends i have made endless rounds to BSNL office but to no help and then after banging my head against my computer zillion times discovered this process , hope you will atleast put in a line of appreciation to applaud the effort , my user name is my daughters name and please bless her as a token of your thanks . God Bless and peace to world
